I just can't resist it

I'm opting to join Nanowrimo again this year. I've successfully completed it the last five years, and I swore last year would be my last. But here we are, and it's suckering me in again. This year, though, I don't need a new novel started. I need my "POW" novel finished, so that's what I'm going to be working on, the second 50K. Unfortunately, there's a reason it's not yet complete yet... I have some major thinking to do to re-figure out some places I went astray in the first half before I can launch in. And a little over a week to do it... Typical. This also seems to happen to me every year. I'm an idiot.

And, as that means my brain is occupied and unfit for anything else, the rest of this post is dedicated to a gratuitous pic spam of Tyrone Power from The Black Swan. I didn't have the dvd when I watched and reviewed it previously (just used Netflix's instant viewing option), but thanks to a good friend's birthday present, I can now watch it and take all the screen captures I want. I swear, he looks better in this movie than in all his other movie combined. But maybe that's just me. (double-click on any pic to get the full size)

Hang in there! I'm doing NaNoWriMo again this year (my second), too. It's tough to pull a story together in only 30 days, isn't it?

I think this year will be easier for me than last, though. November and December were THE worst months of 2008 for me.

Wasn't he just yummy though? Rowr!

I can't do NaNo. I've tried and failed. I really think they need to do it in January or February when the holidays are over and you've got those dark, cold winter nights looming ahead of you.

Good luck and have fun!

Good luck with NaNoWriMo!

I very much appreciate the Ty picspam. I think you are totally right about him looking his best in it. It's my favorite Ty offering for that reason!

I'd call him Jamie Boy any day of the week and twice on Sunday! Thank you so much for introducing me to Mr. Power!!

As for your other mission.....I'm thinking I may just work on getting a decent outline in order and shoot for nano '10. :D

I'm doing NaNo for the 8th time, and hopefully the 7th win. At this point I just can't imagine a November without all-nighters and wordcount padding.

Hubba-hubba, but you don't have a pic of him shirtless in those white pants he wore. Yowza.

I think in the Rains Came, when he takes off his turban - well, when I first saw him, I nearly fell off of my bed.

Hi Amanda - good-luck this nano, hope it's a much better year for you! What's your nano name?

--------

Millie - hah! You are evil.

--------

Melissa - nano isn't for everyone, that's for sure. I've been fortunate and had really good luck with it. I appreciate the reminder of discipline nano gives me, particularly because summer is always been my worst writing time (winter is the best). So, nano gets me back writing daily and gives me lots of material to work with in December and January.

--------

NoirGirl - thanks! I've been running through all his movies, and so far, none touch this one as far as sheer attractiveness.

--------

Maggie - You're welcome! And thank YOU for the DVD! :-D You should give nano a try next year. Like I said, you're prolific enough, you just gotta keep it up every day. But you'll have Tillane and I and maybe WQ, too, to push you and keep you going.

--------

Princess Fire and Music -- Whew! 8 times! Good luck to you!

--------

Anonymous -- actually I did have a pic of the white pants (I took a whole ton more screen shots than I posted), I just didn't put that one up. Remedied now, just for you! :-D Thanks for commenting!

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm! That pic of Jamie Boy drinking out of the bottle is the best! (And one of my fave scenes :-9) Hooray for getting the dvd for your birthday! I just recommended it to my dad.

I wish you good luck with NaNoWriMo as well.

'The Black Swan' is a such a great film, definitely my favourite Ty movie after 'The Mark of Zorro'.
