What a different experience this nano was. What a pain in the rump this nano was.
Lesson 1. Do not attempt a complicated novel when you don't understand what you're doing yet.
Lesson 2. If you don't know where you're going or how even to accomplish it in a non-linear story, do not expect the story to just write itself.
Lesson 3. Do not attempt stories that require a lot of research without actually doing the research prior to nano.
Lesson 4. You can still write 50,000 words while not knowing what you're doing.
Lesson 5. Those words will be crap.

Yeah, I should've done a bunch of research on deejay equipment before I wrote this year's novel. Actually, I knew this guy in college that deejayed for a lot of our dances and stuff, and he's still pals with some of my inlaws, so I totally meant to ask them for his email address and ask him a bunch of questions. Instead I chickened out of that and just made things up as I went. When I do my second draft, I will simply have to contact him. And research stuff on the internet. [shakes finger sternly at self]
Wanna know something cool? With our old monitor, I had to highlight your blog in order to read it -- the blackness very much overwhelmed the dimmish words. But with this new monitor, I don't have to do that! Shiny!
ya shoulda said sumting, I'da changed it!
