I think what keeps me from putting this one as my favorite is that it's so wearying. And that's a compliment to the filmmakers, because they're making me feel how drawn-out this battle is, how the characters are getting ground down by onslaught after onslaught. But I don't love it as a result.
My sister said that of course this is my favorite battle, cuz it's a "cranky" battle with no hint of lightness, hope, or cheese. Everyone is dour and in great peril. Hee.

Hee! Very amusing. It is pretty cranky, and grim. You'd think the grimness would make it my favorite, lol.
Hee. I always think of you as liking seriousness, but not grimness, necessarily.
Hmm. Maybe I like grim people, but not grim situations. I definitely feel a flavor difference there.
Yes, that makes sense. Grim people, not situations. Definitely a difference between the two.
